Asian Celebrity Commercials

Show Luo has obviously been gaining quite a bit of prominence these days, appearing in a number of Taiwan-based commercials.  Here’s one of him endorsing the member card of Watsons Taiwan.  You can watch the commercial direct from the website. 

I noticed that a common branding strategy is to use the man to hook the girl, meaning getting a male celebrity to endorse products for female.  In this ad for Watsons, you see Show Luo showering love and attention on his girlfriend in the form of nail polish and facial masks. 

So strictly speaking, beauty items are no longer just the forte of female celebrities.
