After a long wait, the Song Hye Kyo TVCF for Laneige is finally up!  

Titled Laneige + Hyekyo, the first ad I saw was a tad disappointing considering the beautiful photo spread of Song Hye Kyo I’ve seen.  I was expecting something more lavish, but instead, I don’t know what the ad was trying to promote.  Makeup or camera?  But then again, I don’t understand Korean so it’s hard to be too judgemental there.

So it’s little wonder that the number one cosmetic brand in Korea has picked her as their new model to replace Jeon Ji Hyun who was the in-house model for Laneige since January 2004. 

According to Laneige’s spokesperson, Song Hye Kyo was picked because of her transparent, clean skin and alluring eyes. “She is the best actress to match well with Laneige’s recently more sophisticated and chic image as well as Laneige’s pursuit of becoming a premium brand.”  In fact, Laneige officials were said to be pleased with her various poses and facial expressions during the photo shoot, proving that she’s the best choice to match with Laneige’s sophisticated and chic image.

Song Hye Kyo (宋慧乔) has many fans in Asia and this explains why she’s favored by many advertisers even outside of Korea.  The lovely actress is seen here promoting the range of cellphones for BBK Mobile with music player in China (步步高音乐手机).

Because of her sweet and pretty looks, Song Hye Kyo (宋慧乔) was chosen as the spokesperson for Etude, a small and independent color institute in Korea, which manufactures quality cosmetics at an affordable price for young women. All her ads were very colorful and fun, featuring her looking bright and cheery in their range of makeup.
